RCEBC was founded in February 1987. Meetings are held monthly. Our objectives are:
- The gathering together of persons holding in common the affection and enjoyment of exotic birds
- The promotion of interest in cage birds and the encouragement of better avian husbandry
- The dissemination of information; the sponsorship of exhibitions, displays and shows to enhance knowledge and educate the public
- The encouragement of conservation
- To respond to avian legislation to best maintain our objectives
- To cooperate with individuals and organizations with the same or complimentary goals
